Vice president of Operations for Trilithic, passed away May 1, 2004 while in Scotland on business. He was 50 years old. As a senior member of Trilithic’s Executive team, O’Conner was an integral part of the 1989 merger of Trilithic and Texscan.A veteran of over 25 years in the Cable and RF Microwave industries. O’Conner was a dedicated and loyal employee of Trilithic for 15 years. He will be missed in many ways; his contributions to the company were indispensable to all those who had the pleasure of working with him.A native of Indianapolis, O’Conner was active in the community. He was president of Raymond Park Homeowner’s Association; president of Trilithic’s Property Association Board, and past president of "Just Darts" leagues in Lawrence, Indiana. He was a participant in the Dart League at the Vegas Lounge, also in Lawrence. Proud of his Irish legacy, O’Conner was fond of appearing at Sugar Daddy’s in Lawrence for karaoke, and could frequently be heard lustily performing, "Steamroller Blues!"A prolific chef; an avid gardner; an accomplished photographer and poet, and most recently a student of oil painting. One of Dan’s greatest joys was being the company Santa Claus and visiting small children at Christmas.Dan O’Conner was preceded in death by father Charles O’Conner, Sr. and brother Charles O’Conner, Jr. O’Conner is survived by his mother, Ruth O’Conner, brothers and sisters, Dave O’Conner, Carolyn Szalay, Lois (Ditto) Wade, and Jim O’Conner. In addition, he leaves his life partner and soul mate Sheri Cartwright; two children Brian Cartwright and Melissa Maginity; three grandchildren, Jessica, Chloe, and David Maginity; 6 nephews, 6 nieces, 7 great nieces and 12 great nephews. Last but not least, he leaves behind his beloved dog, Iris.Contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association in memory of Dan O’Conner.
